Tallahassee, FL -- Tallahassee, FL - Kelly Rowland's Florida State career has been nothing short of prolific. The center back has started a school-record 74 consecutive matches, she has scored more goals, assisted on more goals and tallied more points than any defender in school history. There is one other record she keeps adding to as well. For the ninth time in her illustrious career, the Wallingford, PA native was named to Soccer America's Team of the Week Wednesday.

Rowland is the program's most decorated player. She has been honored as a member of Soccer America's National Team of the Week a school record nine times in her career. No other FSU player has ever received the award even three times. With those nine weekly honors, Rowland has been named to a national team of the week 11 times in her career making her the only Seminole ever to reach double digits in weekly national awards. No other FSU player even has five career national weekly honors.

Last week Rowland had a hand in each of FSU's game-winners as the top-ranked Seminoles improved to 3-0 and captured the Heather Farr KICKS Against Breast Cancer Tournament. The senior defender assisted on Selin Kuralay's golden goal just over two minutes into overtime to down Arizona State 1-0 in the opener. The central defender then scored the game-winning goal versus Loyola (MD). Her second half header broke a 1-1 tie and put Florida State ahead for good in a game it went on to win 3-1. Rowland continued to add to her school records for goals, assists and points by a defender with her 13th career goal, 16th career assist and her 42nd career point. She also has five game-winning goals and eight game-winning assists in her career now.

Florida State returns to action Friday night at home when the 16th-ranked Gators (2-1-1) come to town. The game will kick at 8:00 p.m. and there is no admission charge. For those fans unable to attend, the game will be shown live on SUN Sports and there will be a live radio and stats broadcast exclusively available at Seminoles.com.
