FSU Volleyball Sophomore Garners Verizon Academic All-District Honors

Florida State volleyball standout Jennifer Anderson is one of seven athletes named to the second team 2001 Verizon Academic All-District III Volleyball Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Anderson, a sophomore from Minier, Ill., carries an impressive 3.95 grade point average with a major in English education. She is the starting setter for the Florida State volleyball team, which completed a 2001 season with a record of 17-12. Anderson finished her sophomore campaign with 1401 set assists placing her fourth on the individual season records and sixth in the individual career records with 2281.

To be eligible for Verizon Academic All-America honors, a student-athlete must be a started or important reserve with a 3.2 cumulative grade point average.
