The Florida State Lady Seminoles played host to Duke tonight, who entered the game 13-2 on the season and 5-2 in the ACC. Although the Seminoles took the lead early in each game, they were unable to overcome the Blue-Devils. With the loss the Lady Seminoles fall to 6-9 on the season and 3-4 in the ACC while Duke improves to 14-2 and 6-2 in conference play.

The Lady Seminoles were led by Norisha Campbell who had a hitting percentage of .353 and seven kills in the match. Freshman Defensive Specialist Kameelah Omar led the Seminoles with 10 digs.

"The performance tonight was just the opposite of how we performed against FAMU on Tuesday, tonight we played flat," said head coach Cecile Reynaud. "You have to play sharp against Duke. They are having a great year and performed very well tonight."

Duke, who is second in the ACC, was led by Senior Ashley Harris in kills with 13. Sophomore Katie Gilman assisted with seven blocks for the Blue Devils.

The Lady Seminoles return to action on Sunday, October 14th as they host ACC opponent Wake Forest (10-6, 4-3) at 1 p.m. in Tully Gym. Admission is free.
