Tallahassee, Fla. - The Florida State track and field team recently returned from the 2005 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships with a fourth-place finish on the men's side and three female NCAA qualifiers. CBS Sports will broadcast the national championships meet on Saturday, June 18, 2005 at 2:30 p.m.

The men's squad finished in a tie for fourth-place with BYU, after scoring 24 points and recording the first outdoor national champion in 25 years - freshman Walter Dix (Coral Springs, Fla./Coral Springs). The Seminoles scored behind nine All-Americans, the highest total since 12 in 2003.
