Florida State Men's Tennis Set To Host Seminole Team Tournament

The Florida State men's tennis team will host the Seminole Team Tournament Saturday, January 25th. Three teams, Florida A&M, UAB and UCF, will visit the Scott Speicher Tennis Center. The matches are scheduled to begin at 9:00 am and the last matches will be held 3:00 pm.
The first two matches of the day are scheduled to take place at 9:00 am. Florida State will take on Florida A&M in its first match of the day, while UAB will face off against UCF. The losers of the first two matches will then go head-to-head at noon. The winners will have a break before taking to the courts at 3:00 pm.
In Florida State's first match of the day, the Seminoles will face Florida A&M. In the all-time series against the Rattlers, the Tribe holds a 5-0 advantage. The last time the two teams squared off was in 2001, when the Seminoles defeated the Rattlers by a score 7-0.
Florida State will take on UAB or UCF in the second match of the day. Against UAB, the Seminoles lead the series with a mark of 4-2. The last time Florida State faced the Blazers was in 1991, when UAB defeated the Tribe 4-3. The Seminoles hold a perfect 8-0 record against UCF. Florida State defeated the Golden Knights by a score of 5-2 last season.
The Seminoles will begin dual-match play next Friday, January 31st, when they travel to South Bend, Ind. to take on the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. The match is scheduled to begin at 5:00 pm.
