FSU Volleyball drops NC State in Three on Senior Day

The Lady Seminole volleyball team shined on Senior Day as they defeated the Wolfpack in three games (30-16, 30-15, 30-25) in their final match of the regular season. Luana Ruiz Azevedo, Elizabeth Pound and Norisha Campbell, the three Seminole seniors were honored in a ceremony before the match. The three seniors also started game one for the Seminoles.
With the win, the Lady Seminoles finish the regular season at 15-11, and with an ACC record of 10-6, as they clinch a tie for fourth place in the Conference. The Lady Seminoles finished with a winning record for the second straight season. The seeds for the ACC Tournament will be released by Tuesday.
Junior Erica Bunch had a career high hitting percentage of .800 and 20 kills in the win. Kristin Frye added 7 kills and 2 service aces. Seniors Elizabeth Pound and Norisha Campbell each notched hitting percentages of .429 for the Seminoles. Campbell also had her ninth straight game with double-digit kills with 12. The team recorded a season high hitting percentage of .477.
The Wolfpack was led by Freshman Setter Lindi Sheppard who had a .714 hitting percentage.
The Florida State Volleyball team returns to action Friday, November 16, 2001 in the first round of the ACC Tournament. The Wolfpack finished their regular season at 6-20, 1-15 in the ACC.
