TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - In an effort to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Research, the Florida State soccer team `Painted the Plex Pink' on Sunday, October 4 in a game against intra-state rival Miami.
The Seminoles helped `Paint the Plex Pink' by wearing special pink Nike jerseys for the game. For a week, fans have had the opportunity to bid on the authentic gear as all 22 game jerseys have been auctioned off online at Seminoles.com.
The opportunity for fans to bid on these jerseys will come to an end on Thursday, October 8 at 4:00 p.m.
Seventy-five percent of the proceeds will stay right here in Tallahassee to benefit the Tallahassee Memorial Sharon Ewing Walker Breast Cancer Health Center, while 25 percent of the funds will go the Kay Yow Foundation.
