Florida State Volleyball's Aisha Carr Earns ACC Player Of The Week Honors

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida State's Aisha Carr earned Atlantic Coast Conference Volleyball Player of the Week honors Monday, October 28th, after helping her team defeat North Carolina State and 11th-ranked North Carolina over the weekend. With the two victories, the Seminoles improved to 16-7 overall and 7-3 in the conference.

The sophomore middle hitter averaged a hitting percentage of .600 over the span of the weekend. With 29 total kills against the two conference opponents, Carr averaged 4.14 kills per game. Against the Wolfpack, Carr recorded 12 kills on 17 attacks with just one error for a career-high hitting percentage of .647. The Dallas, Texas, native notched 17 kills on 30 attacks with only one error, as she hit .533 against North Carolina. Carr continued to be a force at the net for the Seminoles over the span of the weekend, as she had nine total blocks, averaging 1.29 blocks per game.

The Florida State volleyball team faces three tough road trips this week, as the Seminoles travel to the University of South Florida (Oct. 29), Maryland (Nov. 2) and Virginia (Nov. 3).
