TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida State head volleyball coach Todd Kress has announced the completion of his coaching staff with the hiring of Kirstine Jensen, a former assistant coach at Ohio University, and Jenny Fette, a former assistant coach at Northern Illinois University.

"It is great to have everyone in place," said Kress. "This is a young and energetic staff that I believe can take this program to the next level."

Jensen joins the Florida State staff after spending two seasons at Ohio. Prior to coaching at Ohio, Jensen served under Kress for one season at Northern Illinois. As an assistant at Florida State, Jensen will have the title of recruiting and travel coordinator. Before beginning her coaching career, Jensen earned a bachelor's degree in speech and hearing science at Ohio State University, where she was also a four-year scholar-athlete on the volleyball team.

Fette made the move with Kress from Northern Illinois in February. Before joining the Florida State family, Fette spent two years as an assistant under Kress at Northern Illinois. Fette will be the volleyball camp coordinator and will also be responsible for setter training. Fette received her bachelor's degree in biology at the University of Toledo, where she also lettered in volleyball from 1994-97.

"Both coaches are very knowledgeable about the sport," said Kress. "I believe that together they can bring a lot to the table."

With his coaching staff in place, Kress can now focus on the 2002 volleyball season. The Lady Seminoles return 11 letterwinners from last year's squad that went 17-12 and advanced to the championship match of the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament.
