JUNIOR (2016): Started 22 games in the 2016 season and appeared in 27…collected 22 hits, tallied 29 total bases, and recorded a batting average of .293…opened his junior season with a perfect 3-of-3 contest, including driving in five runs, and finishing a triple short of the cycle in Florida State’s Opening Day 19-1 win over Rhode Island…batted .538 through the first two series of the season against Rhode Island and College of Charleston…responsible for earning an RBI in the March 9 game against Toledo in which the Seminoles threw a combined no-hitter and won the game with a slim 3-2 margin…ended his 2016 campaign on April 10 against Louisville. 

SOPHOMORE (2015): Appeared in 40 games in his second season at Florida State making 12 starts – eight as the Seminole designated hitter and four at catcher…finished the year hitting .231 with 15 hits including six doubles and one triple…tallied nine RBI and 12 runs scored, while recording five walks and seven hit-by-pitches…led the team with five pinch hits on the year posting a .294 average as a pinch hitter...recorded three hits – all doubles – in FSU’s opening weekend sweep of Oakland (Feb. 13-15)…posted a career-high three hits in three at-bats as the starting DH against UNC Wilmington (March 1)…drove in a career-high three runs twice on the year – vs. USF (March 3) and vs. Boston College (March 8)…hit .320 (8-for-25) when making the start at DH…played summer ball with the Amsterdam Mohawks of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League.

FRESHMAN (2014): Played in 26 games making four starts – three as the Seminole designated hitter and one at catcher…finished the year with a 1.000 fielding percentage converting on all 28 fielding chances…posted a .161 batting average in his first season with five hits in 31 at-bats…registered two home runs, a double, one triple, drove in eight runs and scored six…recorded an RBI in his first career plate appearance with a groundout to short in the bottom of the eighth on opening day against Niagara (Feb. 14)…first career hit was a home run in the series finale against Niagara (Feb. 16) – connected on a solo home run to right to open the bottom of the eighth…drove in a season-high two runs with a pinch-hit single in the bottom of the eighth against Maryland (March 7)…made his first career start behind the plate at UCF (March 11) and drove in a run on a sac-fly in four plate appearances…finished with a season-high 11 putouts and recorded an assist against the Knights…scored a season-high three runs in game one of a doubleheader at Clemson (March 22) – finished the game with a double and two walks…recorded an RBI in four straight appearances against Maryland (March 7), UCF (March 11-12) and NC State (March 15)…tripled and scored a run against Notre Dame (April 4)…started at DH on the road against Clemson and Boston College (March 28) and at home against Florida Gulf Coast (April 1)…closed out the year with two pinch hits, while posting a .400 average against left handed pitchers…played with the Anchorage Bucs of the Alaska Baseball League over the summer.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Lincoln High School in Tallahassee, where he was a four-year letterwinner…was a starter on the varsity for three years where he posted a career batting average of .417…named to the 7A Florida All-State team as a senior…selected as Florida Athletic Coaches Association Region I Player of the Year…named to the All-Big Bend team following his junior and senior seasons…garnered 2013 Rawlings/Perfect Game Preseason Florida Region Second Team accolades…named a second team Preseason High School Underclassman All-American by Perfect Game in 2012.

PERSONAL: Son of Kip West and Joni Wussler…has two siblings, Jaxson and Cadence…mother, grandmother, stepfather and aunt are all alumnus of Florida State…father played and coached at Tallahassee Community College…majoring in sport management…born on May 17, 1995.
