2014: Returned from Tommy John surgery and went 7-3 with a 3.23 ERA in 15 starts…recorded 50 strikeouts and only 19 walks in 83.2 innings of work…finished tied for 13th in the ACC with seven wins and 18th in innings pitched…concluded the season ranked second on the team in starts, wins and innings pitched…paired with Luke Weaver as the pitching stalwarts for the ‘Noles, appearing every weekend except for the series against Georgia, which was rained out on the final day…went 6.1 innings against No. 1 and national runner-up Virginia (4/26) for his fourth win of the year, a 7-0 FSU victory – marked the first time in 156 games that the Cavaliers had been shut out…career-day against eventual Super Regional participant Maryland (3/9), throwing a complete game, two-hit shutout while striking out 10 and allowing no walks…set career-highs for innings pitched (9.0) and strikeouts (10) against the Terrapins…the shutout against Maryland was the first for a Seminole pitcher since Rhett James in 2004…allowed two runs over eight innings at North Carolina (5/10), the second longest outing of his career…a week earlier, against Minnesota (5/3), went 7.2 strong innings, allowing only two earned runs on seven hits…surrendered 10 hits against Notre Dame (4/6), all singles, but only gave up one run against the Fighting Irish in the Seminole victory…in his first game since his 2013 injury, threw five innings of one hit ball in the season-opening series against Niagara (2/16)…allowed two earned runs or fewer in 10 of his 15 starts…team went 12-3 in games he started by Compton…went 5-1 with a 3.24 ERA in 10 games against ACC opponents.

2013: Received a medical redshirt after missing the entire 2013 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery to his right elbow.

2012: Pitched in the weekend rotation the entire 2012 season combining with fellow freshman teammate Brandon Leibrandt for 20 of Florida State's 50 wins…posted a 12-2 record with a 2.87 ERA in 18 starts in his first season…tied the Florida State school record for wins by a freshman with his victory against Stony Brook in the CWS - fourth freshmen pitcher all-time at FSU to reach 12 wins joining Sean Gilmartin (2009), Ray Revak (1984) and Doug Little (1983)…finished the season tied for the second most wins nationally while leading all freshmen in that category…was the first 10-game winner in the ACC in 2012 and closed out the year as the only player in the league to reach double-digit victories…ranked in the top 10 in the ACC in wins (1st), games started (2nd) and innings pitched (10th)…also finished 13th in the league in ERA en route to earning second team all-conference honors…concluded his freshman campaign with 64 strikeouts in 91.0 innings of work while holding opponents to a .260 batting average…allowed two earned runs or less in 16 of his 18 starts, while yielding no runs three times…first collegiate start and win came against Hofstra (2/19) working 5.0 innings allowing two runs on four hits as he struck out three…posted career-highs in innings pitched (7.2) and strikeouts (8) in a 2-1 victory over Virginia Tech (3/31)…did not allow a run in wins over FIU (2/25), at Duke (3/10) and Rhode Island (4/28)…allowed three hits or less in five starts and just two hits in at least six innings of work twice – FIU (2/25) and Rhode Island (4/28)… made three starts in the NCAA Tournament and picked up wins against Samford (6/3) and Stony Brook (6/17)…worked 6.0 innings in both outings and allowed just two runs…was the pitcher of record in FSU's 5-2 victory over Samford to clinch the Tallahassee Regional…helped Florida State stave off elimination in Omaha as he led the Seminoles to a 12-2 victory over Stony Brook in the College World Series.

HIGH SCHOOL: Over his four years at Branson High School, posted a record of 21-7 with two saves and a 1.40 ERA in 195 innings of work…registered a school record 243 strikeouts, while issuing just 28 walks in four seasons…named Central Ozark Conference Player of the Year as a junior; garnered COC 1st team pitcher honors in back-to-back seasons as a junior and senior…earned first team pitcher All-State accolades as a junior, followed with All-State Honorable Mention honors after his senior…an Honor Roll student at Branson HS graduating with a 4.2 GPA; member of the National Honor Society.

PERSONAL: Son of Mike and Jannine Compton…earned his bachelor's degree in applied economics in Fall 2014…currently pursuing interdisciplinary social science...born November 5, 1992.
