Position: Advising Assistant
Kelly Benacka, a native of Algonquin, Illinois, joined the Florida State University Student-Athlete Academic services staff in July 2013, as an intern. In May 2014 she was promoted to the Advising Assistant role.

Benacka attended Southeast Missouri State University as a volleyball student-athlete from 2007-2011, where she was a captain during the 2010 season. After receiving her Bachelor's degree, Kelly became a Graduate Assistant in the Redhawk's Success Center for academic services in athletics from 2011-2013. There, she advised student-athletes on class schedules and postgraduate career choices, as well as assisted coaches with recruiting. Kelly also monitored a mentoring program called Students Owning Academic Responsibility (SOAR), which helped first year and at-risk student-athletes develop successful study skills and provide resources to help them achieve their academic goals. She worked closely with Football, Baseball, Men's and Women's Basketball, Soccer, Softball and Volleyball. Kelly earned her Master's degree in Higher Education Administration.
