2015-16: After a midseason injury knocked him out of competition, finished with an 11-6 singles mark and 7-6 doubles record, all with brother Terrance Whitehurst...was 2-1 on Ct. 5 and 1-0 on Ct. 4...instrumental in the Seminoles win over No. 29 Mississippi State in the ITA Kick-Off Weekend, winning 5-7, 6-3, 6-3 over Strahinja Rakic on Ct. 5...also won in straight sets against Alabama and Liberty...won a pair of matches in prequalifying at the All-American Championships before falling in three sets to Howard Scott of Wisconsin-Green Bay...after dropping his opening match at the Southeast Regionals against No. 24 Christopher Eubanks of Georgia Tech, won the next four matches to claim the consolation bracket title...in doubles, will enter the spring ranked No. 55 with Terrance after winning a pair of qualifying matches at the All-American Championships...won the 2015 US Open Sectional Qualifier, held June 18-20 at Florida State...beat Alabama's Korey Lovett in the finals, 7-6 (6), 3-6, 6-4...fell in the opening round at the national playoffs in New Haven.
2014-15: Finished the year 12-7 in singles and 18-8 in doubles...had a 9-6 dual match record on Ct. 6 and went 6-3 overall in ACC play...won a three-set thriller against Shoti Meparidze of NC State in the first round of the ACC Tournament that helped the 'Noles advance to the Quarterfinals...won four consecutive matches midseason, against Boston College, Dartmouth, Miami, and NC State...won the first three singles matches of his Seminole career, against No. 70 St. John's, Denver, and No. 44 Alabama...playing doubles with brother Terrance, led the 'Noles with 18 dual match wins, including a 17-8 record on Ct. 3 and 7-4 record in ACC play...went 1-0 against ranked teams with a 6-3 win over No. 43 Oliver Landert and Joshua Wardell of Florida...ended the season winning nine of 11 dual matches, including an 8-6 win over eventual national champion Virginia in the ACC Quarterfinals that helped the 'Noles become just the second team to take the doubles point against the Cavaliers on the year...won the opening round match in the NCAA Tournament, 8-5 over Andre Baldo and Hassan Ndayishimye of Troy.
High School: Five-star recruit from TennisRecruiting.net has ranked as high as No. 60 in the country and top-10 in Florida...teaming up with his brother and fellow Seminole freshman Terrance, reached the semifinals at age 16 of the USTA National Championships in Kalamazoo, Mich., and reached the semifinals the following year...has participated in several ITF Futures events in the past year, including Pensacola and Niceville, Fla., and the Tallahassee Challenger...won his first doubles ITF Futures match against Russian-duo Ilya Polonskiy and Ilya Vasilyev in Pensacola in November 2014...has won two singles matches in Futures play at his past two events, beating Alexander Centenari 6-3, 6-1 in Niceville and Bryant Mohns, 6-2, 6-0, in Pensacola.
